This Privacy Policy describes what data Skyline VPS collects, how we use it, and your rights regarding it. We're operated by The Forex Skyline (TFXS), a sole proprietorship.
What we collect
Account data
Email address, name, password hash, country, and the TFXS member ID if you signed up via your TFXS account.
Billing data
Stripe processes payment information directly. We store the Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and invoice history. We never see your card number.
Usage data
VPS configuration (tier, data center, deployed instances), system metrics (CPU, RAM, network usage for monitoring), uptime logs, and support ticket history.
What we don't collect
We do not access the contents of your VPS, your trading data, your broker credentials, or your EA configurations. The VPS is your private machine.
How we use it
- To provide, maintain, and secure the service
- To process payments via Stripe
- To send service notifications (uptime alerts, billing receipts, security alerts)
- To respond to your support requests
- To improve the product based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in or sign up with Google, we receive the following information from your Google account through Google's standard OAuth scopes (openid, email, profile):
- Your Google account email address
- Your name and profile picture URL (if public on your Google account)
- A unique Google account identifier
We use this information solely to:
- Create your Skyline VPS account or sign you into an existing one
- Display your name in the dashboard interface
- Send you service emails at the address you signed in with
Limited use commitment. Skyline VPS's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, including retargeting or interest-based advertising
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the service, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to users
- We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your affirmative agreement, it's necessary for security purposes (e.g. investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations in accordance with applicable privacy commitments
- We do not sell Google user data
You can revoke our access to your Google account at any time via your Google account permissions page. Revoking access doesn't delete your Skyline VPS account; to delete that, see "Account deletion" below.
Third parties we use
- Stripe · payment processing (USA, GDPR-compliant via Standard Contractual Clauses)
- Supabase · account database and authentication (EU, Frankfurt region)
- Netlify · website hosting (global CDN, GDPR-compliant via DPA)
- Resend · transactional email delivery (USA, GDPR-compliant via DPA)
- Vultr / similar · underlying VPS infrastructure (provider varies by region)
- Telegram · support communication when you reach out via that channel
- Google · sign-in (only if you choose Google Sign-In; see section above)
Each of these has their own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data needed.
International data transfers
Some of our subprocessors (Stripe, Netlify, Resend, Google) are based in the United States. Data transferred outside the European Economic Area is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Our primary databases (Supabase) are hosted in the EU (Frankfurt region) where applicable.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for session management and authentication. We use anonymized analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) to understand site usage. You can decline non-essential cookies via the consent banner.
Children's privacy
Skyline VPS is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact support@skylinevps.com and we will delete it promptly.
Your rights
Under GDPR (EU residents) and similar regulations, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data (see below)
- Export your data in a machine-readable format
- Object to certain processing activities
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email support@skylinevps.com. We respond within 30 days.
Account deletion
You can request deletion of your Skyline VPS account at any time. To do so, sign in to your dashboard, cancel any active subscription from the Billing page (this also archives your VPS data on the standard schedule), then email support@skylinevps.com from the address associated with your account requesting full account deletion. We process the request within 7 business days and confirm by email when done.
Account deletion permanently removes your profile, support history, and account metadata from our active systems. If you signed in with Google, deletion also removes the link between your Google account and Skyline VPS; you can additionally revoke our access at any time via your Google account permissions page.
Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and accounting regulations, with all unnecessary personal identifiers removed where legally permitted.
Data retention
We retain account data while your subscription is active and for 12 months after cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted. Billing records are retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance.
Security
All data in transit is encrypted (TLS 1.3). Account passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Database access is restricted by IP and role-based authentication. We do not store unencrypted credentials.
Changes to this policy
We will notify you of material changes by email (to the address on your account) at least 14 days before they take effect, or post a notice in your dashboard. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
